Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the steel production facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical equipment and systems that ensure the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to effectively carry out repairs and installations.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably within the steel industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a comprehensive understanding of industrial equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair, including knowledge of control systems and PLC programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to take initiative; highly self-motivated.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, maintenance shop, and plant environment.
  • Personal protective safety equipment as required in the plant.

Schedule

  • Monday to Thursday 10.5-hour dayshifts, with overtime as required.
  • Shared 24/7 call-in support required.
