We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Engineering to join our team at Understanding Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and scaling our cross-functional platform engineering group.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a large team of engineers (45+)
- Empower product engineering teams by delivering reliable core APIs, comprehensive documentation, enhanced developer experience, managed services, templates, and best practices
- Ensure and improve service maturity standards in disaster recovery, monitoring coverage, and security practices
- Drive the team to enhance the overall developer experience
- Experience leading and scaling exceptional cross-functional engineering teams
- Strong technical background in Software Engineering (Python/Java), Data Tooling (Kafka), and DB's (Clickhouse, Postgres)
- Exceptional Leadership experience with prior experience at Director/VP of Engineering level
- Experience working within large-scale data environments
- Base salary up to $340,000 CAD
- Bonus, Equity, and wider benefits
- Hybrid 2 days per week in-office
