Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location Dumco is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment to perform various tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, graders, and loaders to perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks as needed.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Complete onboard and other logs to track equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Prepare accident reports and conduct safety inspections as required.
Requirements:
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification.
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Power Line Hazardous Training.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Previous experience in industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, large diameter pipeline construction, or surface mining.
