We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Counsellor to join our team at Alouette Addictions Services Society. As a key member of our counselling team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with other healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans and develop effective strategies for patient care.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients, preparing comprehensive case histories and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, working closely with clients to set and achieve goals.
- Provide education and support to clients on health promotion, injury prevention, and management.
- Offer therapy and counselling services, helping clients achieve personal, social, and vocational development and adjustment.
- Implement treatment plans, analyzing patient progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with community agencies and partners, identifying additional or alternative services and providing referrals as needed.
- Provide public education and consultation to other professionals or groups regarding counselling services, issues, and methods.
- Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification
