Position: Project Development Lead - Foundry Initiative

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 per year

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available after 3 months; 8% vacation pay (equivalent to 4 weeks); childcare discounts (excluding infant & toddler care)

Work Schedule: Full-Time. Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends

Location: Remote work with significant community involvement required

About the Initiative: The YMCA serves as the host organization for the Foundry initiative, a newly launched program aimed at providing a network of integrated wellness centers for youth and their families. Services offered include mental health support, substance use assistance, physical and sexual health care, peer support for youth and families, and various social services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including community resources, health authorities, and governmental services
  • Develop strong reciprocal partnerships and establish a partnership framework to guide the initiative's development
  • Facilitate meaningful engagement, integrate diverse perspectives, and ensure inclusion of underrepresented voices
  • Lay the groundwork for further development until the initiative becomes operational
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or advanced training in a relevant discipline
  • Strong community engagement capabilities
  • Awareness of the effects of colonization and residential schools on Indigenous communities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep commitment to the community and familiarity with related resources
  • Three professional references and a clear Criminal Record Check
