Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle, including regular inspections and maintenance of tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Transport Goods: Load and unload goods, and transport them to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage Route and Schedule: Plan and execute routes to ensure timely delivery of goods, while also considering factors such as traffic, weather, and road conditions.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Regularly communicate with dispatch to receive updates on route changes, delivery schedules, and other important information.
  • Ensure Safety and Security: Take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and security of the cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
  • Meet Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including those related to hours of service, weight limits, and hazardous materials.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a truck driver
  • Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Work Environment

This is an on-the-road job that requires frequent travel and overnight stays. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness and stamina.
