Cyber Security Network Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Network Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing advanced level technical support for troubleshooting, implementation, and configuration changes across a variety of security platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to network security event and incident escalations from first-level support Network Operations, internal/external clients and business partners
- Perform root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for incidents and problems, along with implementing permanent solutions
- Responsible for planning and executing software code upgrades including patch management to maintain Technology Currency
- Execution of network and security infrastructure configuration changes across the global enterprise to adhere to technical security standards and resolve vulnerabilities
- Creating and continuously improving support / process documentation
- Security lead for Planned activities such as Disaster Recovery exercise, power maintenance activities and major network changes
- Participating in meetings and training sessions to review and understand new technologies
- Provide technical requirements and validate functionality in the lab before production implementation
- Identify and recommend opportunities for automation of repetitive tasks
- Strong experience working with one or more of the following network and security appliances/vendors: CheckPoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Pulse Secure, Citrix, SSLv, Cisco Firepower, Blue Coat ProxySG, FireEye, Arbor, Akamai
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, including packet inspection/protocol analysis using packet analyzers for troubleshooting is highly desired
- Good understanding of key protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, Telnet, SSL, NAT, IPSEC, etc.
- Excellent understanding of the OSI model
