Position OverviewExecutrade is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant with a robust background in environmental assessment and the oil and gas sector. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's growth and diversification initiatives. The selected individual will act as the main liaison for clients, managing their portfolios and overseeing essential environmental applications, initial evaluations, and inspections that are critical for project development.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee and coordinate projects while nurturing client relationships.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior staff and field personnel.
- Data Analysis: Interpret data and compile comprehensive reports.
- Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets effectively.
- Client Engagement: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Regulatory Interaction: Collaborate with regulatory agencies and third-party stakeholders.
- Health and Safety: Participate in health and safety initiatives relevant to the company and its clients.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the environmental regulations in British Columbia.
- Technical Support: Provide expertise for various site assessments and projects related to wellsites, facilities, and pipelines.
- Reclamation Advice: Manage Schedule B Programs and offer guidance on reclamation efforts.
- Environmental Assessments: Assist with assessments concerning streams, wetlands, wildlife, soil, and vegetation.
- Route Planning: Conduct preliminary reviews and suggest route planning strategies.
- Field Support: Aid in environmental monitoring and oversee construction/reclamation activities.
- Report Review: Evaluate technical documents, including pre-construction assessments and environmental impact reports.
- A degree or diploma in environmental engineering, agrology, conservation, reclamation, or geoscience from a recognized institution.
- At least eight years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
- Possession of a professional designation or eligibility to obtain one from a relevant professional body in Alberta or British Columbia.
- Strong knowledge of BC environmental regulations and guidelines.
