Position Overview

We are seeking a Culinary Specialist with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to excellence in food preparation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant culinary experience or equivalent.
Work Environment

This role is situated in a vibrant restaurant setting, where creativity and teamwork are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Showcase innovative cooking techniques and introduce new kitchen equipment to the culinary team.
  • Oversee the daily operations of specialist chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff.
  • Develop and test new recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes for various events, including banquets.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Regularly prepare and cook meals, including for special guests or occasions.
  • Train kitchen personnel in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
Certifications

Possession of a Safe Food Handling certificate is required.
