Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing firm financials, including payroll, AR/AP, bookkeeping, plan vs. actual reporting and forecasting, period-end reporting & financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage firm financials, including payroll, AR/AP, bookkeeping, plan vs. actual reporting and forecasting, period-end reporting & financial statements.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and customer payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Prepare payroll schedules and records.
  • Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Stay updated on national and provincial laws related to payroll and taxes.
  • Compile budget data based on estimated revenues and expenses.
  • Prepare periodical cost statements or reports.
  • Analyze budget vs. actual performance to identify discrepancies.
  • Report recommendations to COO based on deep analysis and data.
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile various financial transactions.
  • Maintain ledger entries in Quickbooks.
Requirements
  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to deliver responsibilities and make decisions with minimal direct supervision.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take initiative for own learning and development.
