About the Role

As a Deli Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the management of our Prepared Foods department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily operations, including gross profit, labor costs, operational expenses, and inventory management.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction by consistently applying store processes and standards.
  • Ensuring service counters exceed customer expectations, maintaining a reputation for freshness and quality.
  • Training, coaching, and motivating team members to foster productivity and engagement.
  • Monitoring financial performance to meet budgetary goals, focusing on gross profit, labor productivity, and inventory control.
  • Maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness, adhering to safe food-handling practices.
  • Providing guidance and support to deli staff as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Being available to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in the restaurant or prepared food industry.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Previous management or leadership experience in retail is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework in merchandising or business management is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in systems such as Email, Word, Excel, and other PC applications.
