Your contributions to the team:
- Lead a team of salaried and unionized Methods employees supporting the production floor.
- Ensure the completion of Functional Test Procedural instructions for production, aiming to guarantee that all systems are thoroughly tested.
- Integrate manufacturing requirements and objectives, utilizing an efficient First Article Inspection process to ensure that all design changes implemented in production meet manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with the Change Management organization, providing adequate project schedules, resource allocation, and defining tooling/processes to facilitate a robust change implementation process in the manufacturing environment.
- Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate team members.
- Ensure that all team members comprehend their roles and performance in achieving the Operations Unit plan.
- Participate in Achieving Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Utilize BOE tools to ensure best practices in all deliverables and to implement improvement opportunities, including those provided by the formation of new multi-functional teams.
- Ensure the team is fully integrated into the Global Aircraft platform, resulting in a cohesive one-team approach.
- Ensure the availability of the right resources to meet projected workload delivery on quality, cost, and schedule.
Skills, knowledge & experience required:
- You possess a post-secondary degree and/or at least five (5) years of Bombardier Aerospace work experience in an Engineering/Methods/Quality environment; a technical background is strongly preferred.
- You have experience supervising a team, with preference given to candidates who have managed a technical team or supervised unionized personnel, as well as individuals with cross-functional experience.
- You possess in-depth technical knowledge of the Bombardier Manufacturing System, Bombardier Engineering System, and Aircraft and Aircraft Systems; MRB experience is an asset.
- You have a strong customer-oriented approach with a commitment to providing excellent service.
- You demonstrate a positive approach to issues, setting an example for the organization.
- You can work independently with a proactive, results-oriented, and innovative style, focused on continuous business improvement while demonstrating ethics, good judgment, and professionalism.
- You possess strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
