Job Overview

As a key member of the Construction Innovation and Development team at Qualico Canada, the Curriculum Developer, Construction Training will play a vital role in collaborating and maintaining training programs to support the Construction Procedural Standards team. This position requires fostering positive relationships with business units and external stakeholders to champion changes and improvements in training materials.

This is a 14-month leave replacement opportunity with the possibility of extension to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop module-based strategy documents related to training programs and participate in the adaptation of course materials to align with corporate objectives.
  • Maintain training program materials, monitor, and report on outcomes and results of all participants enrolled in the training program modules.
  • Liaise with business units and external educators as required to expand training opportunities.
  • Interface with external agencies and academic institutions to leverage value-added outcomes and updated instruction techniques.
  • Maintain accurate training records and databases.
  • Review reports generated from systems on a regular basis to ensure system integrity and connectivity.
  • Produce, prepare, and distribute correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation, including regional reports and summaries.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure accurate reporting services are provided.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in residential construction.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of effective teaching, facilitation, and leadership methodology.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Satisfactory verification of a criminal record check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting training teams.
  • Previous experience with BuildPro, SupplyPro, or any Learning Management Systems.
  • A certificate in Adult Education.
