About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Allwood Carpentry Manufacturing. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture pieces using a variety of woodworking techniques and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Study plans and specifications to ensure accurate production
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units
  • Sand and finish wood surfaces to a high standard
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Supervise other workers and ensure efficient production
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Steel-toed safety boots and personal protective equipment required
