About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Angus Consulting Management Limited (ACML). As a Plumber, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to plumbing and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor and major repairs, including work on faucets, toilets, flush valves, pressure relief valves, and pressure reducing valves.
  • Operate threaders and remove/replace/repair all sizes of pipe and all materials of piping, including cast, plastic, stainless, black iron, copper, glass, and Victaulic.
  • Work on all systems, including heating, cooling, domestic cold water, pumps, heat exchangers, humidifiers, boilers, and urinals.
  • Troubleshoot/rebuild/replace pumps, including submersible, sump, centrifugal, and piston pumps.
  • Solder, braze, and open-flame weld tubing and pipe.
  • Use a material management system to reduce waste and create appropriate inventory.
  • Pricing jobs, creating material lists for invoices, and sending invoices to the office for billing.
  • Maintain positive relations with tenants/clients through effective communication and attend project commissioning handover meetings.
  • Escalate unusual events/occurrences and complete preventive/demand maintenance tasks.
  • Manage projects to completion, install new equipment or replace like-for-like, and assist/delegate other classifications/trades as required.
Requirements
  • Red Seal interprovincial Plumbing ticket (306A) or Master Plumber (preferred).
  • Gas ticket, G2.
  • Backflow prevention ticket, as well as testing experience.
  • HVAC certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 5-10 years of service experience in plumbing and HVAC.
  • Ability to self-manage and delegate.
  • Ability to effectively read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
