Clinical Research Associate 2, BioCancer Program

This program's objective is to enroll qualified cancer patients for the collection, processing, curation, and storage of high-quality biospecimens to expedite research efforts. The ideal candidate will be skilled in patient screening, obtaining consent, coordinating sample collection, data management, and overall study administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a range of established technical procedures following documented protocols.
- Accurately document results, including data entry into computer systems.
- Provide feedback on procedural modifications as requested by supervisory personnel.
- Safeguard and organize test materials and products.
- Oversee the inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment.
- May instruct less experienced assistants on work methods or procedures as required.
- Secure patient consent for study participation, arrange appointments, and manage databases.
Qualifications
A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Bachelor of Science) along with two (2) years of recent experience in a research laboratory setting. Candidates with a medical background and prior experience in patient engagement or those pursuing careers in healthcare are encouraged to apply. The preferred candidate should possess:
- Experience working with patients in a clinical environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

Salary Range: $57,447 - $75,268 per year, with starting salaries determined based on relevant education and experience in accordance with the provincial compensation reference plan.
