About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Appliance Service Technician to join our team at BARRON'S HOME APPLIANCE CENTRE LTD. As an Appliance Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch repair and maintenance services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Electrical Tests: Conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests using electrical test equipment to diagnose faults and identify areas for repair.
  • Prepare Estimates: Prepare written estimates of repair costs for customers, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Plan Service Routes: Plan and optimize service routes to ensure efficient and timely completion of repairs.
  • Repair and Replace Components: Repair and replace faulty electrical components, using schematic drawings and product manuals as necessary.
  • Advise Customers: Advise customers on work performed and the condition of their equipment, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Operate Shop Equipment: Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust, and reprogram appliances.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical appliance repair and maintenance.
  • Work Setting: On-site customer service, with the ability to work in various locations.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and a vehicle supplied by the employer.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, with the ability to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication skills, client focus, dependability, initiative, and the ability to work as part of a team.
