Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, B.C. As a member of the GardaWorld team, your primary role will be to ensure the safety and security of client assets, tenants, and visitors professionally and courteously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular building patrols to maintain a secure environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service to everyone on the property, ensuring a positive experience for all
  • Exercise powers of arrest in accordance with local laws and company procedures
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Assist visitors, guests, and retail employees with safety-related requests, directions, escorts, package transportation, and lost vehicle assistance
  • Apply property rules and regulations in a fair and responsible manner
  • Prepare and submit daily and incident reports
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
  • Be prepared to respond to situations of crime, urgency, and disturbance occurring at the mall
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid BC Security Guard License
  • Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) certification (preferred)
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Strong customer service skills
