About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Bestway Cabinets & Millworks. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces using various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings to create custom cabinet designs
  • Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, ensuring precise measurements and quality finishes
  • Sand and finish wooden surfaces, applying veneer, stain, or polish as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, adhering to building codes and regulations
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials, using various tools and equipment
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Large workload and ability to work in a team environment
Work Environment

As a Cabinetmaker at Bestway Cabinets & Millworks, you will work in a fast-paced industrial environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and with heavy loads.
