As a Medical Liaison specializing in vaccines, you will leverage your medical expertise to facilitate the safe and effective application of GSK's vaccine portfolio. Your role will involve meaningful scientific interactions and collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the strategic medical objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture scientific relationships with external experts, delivering balanced scientific information and supporting educational initiatives while adhering to GSK's ethical standards.
- Act as the recognized scientific resource within your designated area, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of diseases, vaccines, and the competitive landscape to foster informed discussions.
- Adapt to the needs of various stakeholders, providing valuable insights and responding to inquiries in a non-promotional manner.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the healthcare community and GSK's internal teams, sharing insights that will shape future business strategies.
- Represent GSK at scientific conferences, engaging with external experts and contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
- Provide training to commercial teams on GSK products and the medical conditions they address, utilizing approved educational materials.
- Support medical and clinical teams in research initiatives and assist in identifying potential sites for clinical trials.
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Fluent in English with strong scientific communication skills.
- Possession of an advanced scientific degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD).
- Residing within the designated territory.
- Demonstrated ability to present scientific data effectively and engage in peer discussions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and strategic execution of medical plans.
- Understanding of regulations governing medical communications within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Proficient negotiation and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement processes.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a medical affairs role, preferably in a field-based capacity, with established networks in relevant therapeutic areas.
