We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Office Supervisor to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting our community nurses and unregulated community support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support community nurses and unregulated community support staff to ensure practices comply with legislated standards and company policies.
- Respond to and advise on concerns from community staff, patients, and families.
- Provide ongoing leadership through regular huddles, face-to-face meetings, and one-on-ones.
- Initiate patient safety incident investigations and document to ensure timelines and action plans are met.
- Work collaboratively with nursing team members to support clinical documentation and submission requirements.
- Engage patients in problem-solving using a collaborative approach, offering health teaching and building rapport and trust.
- Engage staff in problem-solving, offering education, coaching, and mentoring in resolution of problems.
- Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and entitled to practice without restrictions.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
- Comprehensive patient health assessment skills are required.
- Possess an understanding of the principles of community nursing practice.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines is required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
- Commitment to professional development in clinical practice relevant to home health care.
- Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
- C.N.A. Certification as a Community Health Nurse (CCHN(C)) is considered an asset.
