Your Role:

  • Conduct regular assessments of the facility, focusing on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to pinpoint maintenance or repair requirements.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, including filter changes, equipment lubrication, conveyor belt upkeep, and fire safety system inspections.
  • Respond swiftly to maintenance requests, prioritizing tasks to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues, such as leaks, HVAC problems, and equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and equipment maintenance logs, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ensure the safety of common areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of safety systems, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting, coordinating necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or systems as required.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in facility maintenance techniques.

Work Environment:

  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg).
  • Travel to various sites and off-site locations may be necessary.
  • Safety equipment is mandatory while working in production areas.
  • After-hours work may be required.
  • Exposure to hazards associated with the trade.
  • Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.
  • Involvement in construction sites during renovations.
  • Work in temperature-controlled environments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a facilities and maintenance technician or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repair techniques for facility-related issues.
  • Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with team members, contractors, and vendors.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as needed.
