Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at ASN Plumbing & Heating Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will assist in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling forms and scaffolding, and operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent physical abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent physical abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
Work Environment:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be physically fit.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will work 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule.
