Job Summary

Spectrum Plastics Group, A DuPont Business is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our extrusion blown film plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine inspections of machinery to ensure all safeties are in place and functional. Troubleshoot and maintain all process and production equipment as well as general building maintenance.
  • Equipment Installation: Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Collaboration: Work directly with engineers, machinists, assemblers, & machine operators to ensure seamless operation of the plant.
Requirements
  • Education: Red Seal Electrician or Certified Industrial Electrician a must. Red Seal Millwright a plus. Registered qualifications to perform electrical work in British Columbia.
  • Experience: Industrial maintenance or a similar environment performing comparable tasks as required for this position.
  • Skills: Excellent electrical aptitude including control systems. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Familiar with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics. Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions provided by manufacturers.
