Bosch Home Comfort is actively seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to support our expanding market of heating, cooling, and hot water systems. This role presents an excellent opportunity to leverage your field service expertise in a supportive office environment, assisting Bosch Home Comfort customers and contractors.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be a customer-oriented service technician with experience in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Hot Water systems, demonstrating flexibility to meet the evolving demands of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver phone and email troubleshooting and application support to contractors, dealers, engineers, architects, and homeowners regarding hydronic heating, forced hot air, domestic hot water, air-conditioning, and heat pumps.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate new product introductions, provide guidance on existing products, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a representative for the business in root cause analysis for complaint resolution or technical investigations as necessary.
  • Maintain electronic records of support interactions.
  • Review and verify technical documentation for accuracy. Develop departmental technical materials and assist in creating technical videos.
  • Provide internal troubleshooting and application support to related departments and outside sales representatives.
  • Mentor peers by sharing expertise in specific technical areas.
  • Assist in ongoing product and process enhancements to minimize warranty and goodwill expenses.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Gas service, installations, controls, fuel combustion, heat exchange/transfer, fluid transfer, fresh air and exhaust systems, air conditioning, compressors, and domestic hot water systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with oil service and installations is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with geothermal and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) products is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities; adaptability; and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage customer escalations professionally; strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
