About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Data Engineering Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a global team of engineers in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based data infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of talented data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement robust SRE practices to ensure the high availability and performance of our data platforms.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on major platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and security experts, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of data solutions.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities within the data infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in cloud computing, data engineering, and SRE.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or similar roles with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing large teams of engineers.
  • Proven track record of establishing SRE as a best practice within an organization.
  • Extensive experience working with cloud security and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-level cloud infrastructure budgeting and management.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
