Job Title: Staff Accountant

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and analytical skills. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing full cycle accounting services to our clients, including data input, financial statement preparation, and tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Complete CRA filings, including HST and payroll remittances
  • Communicate with clients regarding accounting matters, including audit and tax issues
  • Stay up to date on relevant accounting standards and CPD training requirements
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients on accounting and financial matters
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience in Canada
  • Strong technical expertise and analytical skills
  • Ability to detect and solve problems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Simply Accounting, Quickbooks, Caseware, and Taxprep
  • CPA designation
