Role Overview

As a prominent provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada, we are undergoing significant transformations across various departments. Our Technology teams are redefining operational methodologies, while our Claims teams continuously enhance customer support following incidents. Our product teams innovate to deliver superior protection solutions, enabling clients to focus on their priorities. The contributions of our actuarial professionals are pivotal to this evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the coaching and development of actuarial staff and analysts.
  • Independently manage complex, strategic projects in areas such as ratemaking, reinsurance, corporate planning, data science, and reserving.
  • Lead significant actuarial initiatives, utilizing your expertise.
  • Contribute to business strategy discussions, identifying opportunities and sharing your insights and vision.
  • Offer guidance to colleagues through coaching, advanced problem-solving, and both technical and peer reviews.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Economics; ACAS or FCAS preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience, ideally within the property and casualty insurance sector.
  • Proficiency in SAS, VBA, R, or Python.
  • Desirable skills include adaptability, innovation, analytical thinking, decision-making, critical thinking, excellent communication, planning, organization, and teamwork.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required.
  • No Canadian work experience is necessary, but eligibility to work in Canada is essential.
