Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Black River Logistics ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances
  • Load and unload goods at designated locations
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, and fuel consumption
  • Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate transportation
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Working Conditions

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. You will be exposed to varying weather conditions, heavy traffic, and long hours of driving. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
