Position Overview

Dovre Import & Export Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo to ensure timely delivery.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive both straight and articulated trucks for transporting goods.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Monitor the condition of the vehicle, performing inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and other essential equipment.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle payments for goods as required.
  • Inspection Duties: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle operation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Handling Hazardous Materials: Transport and manage dangerous goods in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
