Job Summary

Golden Horse Trucking Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure it is in good working order.

Customer Service

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Logistics and Operations

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

Teamwork and Communication

Work as part of a two-person team or convoy, receiving and relaying information to central dispatch as needed.

Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses

Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and sit for extended periods.

Personal Suitability

Strong judgment, organizational skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
