Northpoint Express Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Mountain Driving Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in driving on mountainous terrain, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
- Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations in a safe and professional manner.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads.
- AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license and a clean driving record.
- Criminal Record Check: Pass a thorough criminal record check.
- Medical Exam: Undergo regular medical exams to ensure fitness for duty.
- Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including handling heavy loads and working in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with regular overtime required. The job involves physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and working in a variety of weather conditions.
