Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Rock Tools Technician. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to start a career in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage rock tool inventory and track all new issues, discards, and losses
  • Deliver tools to all drills and work areas underground
  • Utilize Rock Tools Management System to monitor and report on the tools performance
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical recommendations and improvements to the Supervisor and Sandvik Sales and Service Representatives
  • Report occurrences that may indicate improper usage or selection by operators
  • Complete accurate time records, technical reports, and failure reports
  • Perform daily/weekly stock counts
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary School (High school)
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team
  • Detail oriented
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
  • Ability to work with Outlook and Microsoft Office
