Job Summary

The Steward is a key member of the Legends Hospitality team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and related equipment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment.
  • Prepare utensils and equipment for use in the kitchen.
  • Empty garbage and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any broken equipment to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
  • Support catering meetings and events through equipment setup and takedown.
  • Comply with all Legends Hospitality Health and Safety policies.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar setting or operation will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a non-toxic chemical environment.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, dishwasher machine, pot washer machine, power washer, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

Location: On Site

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands to finger, and handle controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and stoop. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
