Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and profitability through effective inventory management and merchandising strategies
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of department associates, providing coaching and training to ensure excellent customer service
  • Ensure accurate and efficient stocking, displaying, and pricing of merchandise
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory levels and improve overall store operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe department, adhering to company standards and regulations
  • Manage department expenses and contribute to budget preparation
  • Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage colleagues
  • Build diverse and inclusive teams, promoting a culture of respect and excellence
  • Uphold merchandising and operational standards, ensuring a seamless customer experience

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail management experience, preferably in a grocery or food retail environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including inventory management and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and merchandising strategies
  • Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with the ability to stand for long periods and move frequently throughout the store
