Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Vascular Surgery Team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our team's clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, in accordance with Fraser Health's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health outcomes and participate in policy-making activities that influence healthcare services and practices.
  • Participate in peer review and self-review to evaluate the outcome of services at the patient, community, and population level.
  • Establish priorities for patient care, communicate with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and priorities, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess and diagnose patient status.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals about health findings, diagnoses, treatment, self-care, and prognosis.
  • Ability to critically assess and evaluate health research literature to determine best practices.
  • Ability to identify and respond appropriately to legal and ethical issues that may arise in patient care.
