GCP Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Cloud Engineer to join our team at Zortech Solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in using Public Cloud services, with a certification in GCP (GCP Cloud Associate) being a requirement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using GCP services.
  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Implementing DevOps tooling such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, and Terraform Cloud.
  • Automating tasks and developing scripts using languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
  • Managing Docker registries and creating Dockerfiles to create custom images.
  • Setting up and managing Kubernetes or similar platforms on premise/cloud.
  • Designing and implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to optimize software delivery.
  • Ensuring knowledge of overlay networking for inter-container communications and external servers/infrastructure.
  • Building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Artifactory, and other tools to reduce cycle times and ensure quality.
  • Automating systems deployments and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, and Saltstack.
  • Managing virtualization platforms like VirtualBox, Hyper-V, Docker, and VMware.
  • Developing strong scripting skills for automation using shell scripting, Python, Perl, and Ansible.
  • Working with source control systems like Git.
  • Exposure to working on cloud platforms like Azure/GCP/AWS.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • A university degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Management, or a relevant field.
