Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional testing and validation of both software and hardware components for the DreamCatcher Production Suite.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to strategize testing throughout the product design lifecycle.
  • Document and track defects using a project management system.
  • Develop and revise testing protocols and compliance documentation, while assisting in the enhancement of product manuals.
  • Deliver technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Oversee the maintenance of laboratory testing equipment and resolve hardware/software challenges.
  • Support the preparation of product demonstrations.
  • Contribute to identifying, defining, and designing enhancements for the product range.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in a related domain such as Software Validation, Quality Assurance (QA), Hardware Validation, or System Test Engineering.
  • A degree or diploma in Computer, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or in Broadcast Television/Film and/or Media Production is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data communication networks and relevant protocols and technologies, including TCP, UDP, Multicasting, QoS, RTP, TLS, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2 and 3 switching, firewalls, NATs, and basic network security principles is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems is preferred.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and/or Testrail is a plus.
  • Understanding of video technology and compression methods is desirable.
  • Experience interacting with both internal and external customers is an asset.
