Job Summary

Tajpur Investments Ltd. is seeking a skilled Network Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our local area networks, wide area networks, and computer workstations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Provide technical support to network users, resolving issues and implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures.
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining control records and ensuring data backups and disaster recovery operations are completed.
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, implementing network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance.
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts, and research and apply meta-data to Websites and register them with search engines.
Work Environment

As a Network Support Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. You will be required to sit for extended periods, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will also be required to bend, crouch, and kneel.

Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
