- Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with a valid registration from the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
- Specialized training in the clinical area relevant to the position:
- Emergency - Specialized training in an Emergency Department clinical focus or a comparable mix of education, training, and experience.
- Combined Critical Care/Emergency (specific to WCGH) - Specialized training in critical care nursing and a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience that aligns with unit-specific competencies or a similar combination of education and experience.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification within the last 2 years (annual renewal preferred). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.
