Position Overview:The Senior Business Analyst will act as a functional authority on all order to cash operations within SAP and legacy systems. This role will involve providing insights and recommendations to IT teams regarding functional system needs and serving as a validation and quality assurance expert throughout the various phases of the testing lifecycle related to all Order to Cash (OTC) functions.
Moreover, the Senior Business Analyst will oversee all OTC operations, ensuring comprehensive analytical and testing coverage for all system implementations affecting the Order to Cash process across all business sectors. They will also support stabilization efforts and resolve issues within OTC while serving as the Subject Matter Expert in this domain.
This role is evolving and encompasses a wider range of responsibilities that support all aspects of the order to cash function and will be inherently cross-functional. The individual in this position will provide independent, objective oversight of the end-to-end Order to Cash process, delivering critical insights and recommendations to functional leaders, while identifying opportunities for enhancements that consistently drive process and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the long-term ERP Roadmap aimed at transforming business processes specifically within the Order to Cash framework.
- Assist in defining detailed scope and business requirements.
- Oversee all testing activities within Order to Cash: Develop business requirements, comprehend all functional requirement documents, understand testing scope, create test scripts, prioritize testing tasks, execute all test scripts, report defects, define severity and priority of defects, and conduct regression testing following code modifications.
- Serve as the functional expert and lead for all order to cash operations, acting in a leadership capacity.
- Support order to cash functions and regularly review processes to implement adequate controls, identify gaps, and recommend areas for process enhancements.
- Act as the testing and process lead for the Order to Cash team, responsible for mentoring and training team members, including providing functional guidance and process recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for technical skill enhancement.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new team members.
- Provide leadership and direction in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement project teams to enhance processes and support areas within order to cash.
- Guide employees through workshops aimed at improving work processes to reduce cycle and process times.
- Facilitate 5-S and KAIZEN Lean events.
- Manage billing discrepancies and oversee error handling processes.
This position necessitates in-depth knowledge of SAP S4 Hana and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Outlook. The ability to execute complex formulas in Excel and create pivot tables is essential. This role also requires expertise in:
- Structuring processes and controls.
- Developing monitoring criteria and systems.
- Effective communication.
- Facilitating and leading change management.
- Process improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.
Equivalent to a University degree in General Courses – Business Administration or Accounting. A recognized diploma or certification related to Business/System Analytics or Testing Analytics is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP FI/CO is essential. Knowledge of GAAP principles is an asset.
Experience:Minimum of 4 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience. The ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze complex billing data with minimal supervision is crucial. Leadership qualities and independent thinking are essential. Previous experience with SAP BRIM and FICA is advantageous.
