Position Overview: As a Retail Consumables Specialist at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to enhance your expertise in the retail sector. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while managing the efficient flow of products from the storage area to the sales floor. You will collaborate with a team to ensure that merchandise is well-stocked and that customers receive the assistance they need in a safe and organized environment. If you are interested in a dynamic position within customer service or retail, this role could be an excellent match for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome all customers courteously and with a friendly demeanor.
- Support customers by showcasing products/services, helping them find items, and guiding their purchasing choices.
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain an appealing sales floor by stocking and rotating products, discarding damaged or expired items, setting up product displays, and ensuring accurate pricing.
- Handle claims and returns properly, secure merchandise, identify high-risk items, and uphold a safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
- Receive and organize merchandise, use equipment correctly, and complete necessary documentation.
- Direct appropriate service and transaction-related items to a Customer Service Manager as needed.
- Stock merchandise and perform downstocking when applicable. Implement product protection measures as required. Set up and finalize modulars, including flexible modulars and new shelf caps.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 16 years of age or older.
