Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Excavation Equipment Operator to join our team at EMAAN EXCAVATING AND CONSTRUCTION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate backhoe excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery to excavate and move earth and materials.
  • Read Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate equipment, refill tanks, and perform minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Prepare Accident Reports: Prepare and submit accurate and detailed accident reports as required.
  • Secure Special Attachments: Secure special attachments to equipment as necessary.
  • Operate GPS and Communication Equipment: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment, as well as two-way radios and other communication equipment, to ensure efficient communication and navigation.
  • Perform Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs to equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Work outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding work requiring attention to detail.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction or residential construction.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
