Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential assistance to clients in their residences. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals requiring support.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking setting
  • Work is conducted in the employer's or client's home
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks
  • Encourage and assist in regular physical activities, such as walking
  • Support clients during meal times, including feeding assistance
  • Launder clothing and household linens as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals tailored to client needs
Certifications
  • First Aid Certificate is required
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check is mandatory
  • References are required
Transportation
  • Public transportation options are available
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Must be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
