Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at Leading Edge Drywall Ltd. As an Insulation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our drywall installations are properly insulated to meet the highest standards of energy efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selecting the Appropriate Insulation Type

You will be responsible for selecting the correct type of insulation required for each project, taking into account factors such as climate, building design, and local building codes.

Measuring and Cutting Insulation Materials

You will need to measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools, ensuring accuracy and precision in every cut.

Applying and Securing Insulation

You will apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation methods, ensuring a tight and secure fit.

Fitting Insulation Around Obstructions

You will fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs, using your knowledge of building construction and insulation principles to ensure a seamless fit.

Brushing Waterproofing Cement

You will brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials to protect them from moisture and ensure a long-lasting installation.

Assembling and Erecting Scaffolding

You will assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring a safe and stable working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Reading and Interpreting Blueprints

You will read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, using your knowledge of building construction and insulation principles to ensure that each installation meets the required standards.

Work Term and Language

This is a permanent position, and you will be required to work in English.

Hours of Work

You will work 40 hours per week, ensuring that each installation is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
