About the Position:

The Carrington Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for single-family homes across Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed cost estimates for various projects at different stages of development.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift for incorporation into cost estimates.
  • Complete estimates required for construction budgeting.
  • Review final change orders and interior selection packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare material takeoffs, labour, and equipment cost estimations for construction projects.
  • Review requests for customized price quotes and complete retail pricing for final acceptance.
  • Create and adjust model assemblies in estimating software as required.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Building, Construction Management, Architectural Technologies, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of estimating experience in residential construction in Alberta, preferably in a fast-paced production builder environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Homefront and PlanSwift.
  • Ability to read and interpret building specifications and blueprints.
  • Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
