Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker to join our team at the Red Fish Cedar Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality support to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor clients' progress and provide emotional support and counseling to help them achieve their recovery goals.
- Participate in the admission, case planning, and discharge process for clients, including conducting interviews and gathering relevant information.
- Establish rapport with clients and provide guidance on daily living activities, such as time management and interpersonal communication.
- Assist clients with accessing community services and resources, and act as an advocate to support their needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans that address clients' unique needs and goals.
Requirements
- Diploma from a recognized Social Services Support Worker educational program.
- Two years' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
