Job Overview:
The Senior Construction Project Leader is tasked with managing significant construction initiatives from the initial planning stages through to completion, ensuring excellence and effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Lead the preparation of bid proposals with assistance from marketing and team members.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure contract negotiations are in sync with project timelines.
  • Oversee preconstruction planning to fulfill organizational and client expectations.
  • Implement project strategies and allocate resources effectively.
  • Manage project financials to ensure profitability.
  • Encourage collaboration within the project team.
  • Formulate a project strategy aimed at achieving performance and profitability goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Demonstrate core values of leadership, innovation, relationship-building, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support the Construction Director in operational tasks.
  • Stay updated on project challenges and address them promptly.
  • Monitor site operations and productivity benchmarks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in construction management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing commercial projects.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software.
  • Expertise in project delivery and constructability methodologies.
  • Experience in effective bid management.
  • Ability to lead in dynamic environments.
  • Commitment to team development and mentorship.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
