We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Robert B. Somerville Co. Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans
  • Conduct Workplace Inspections and Investigations
  • Provide Training and Information to Employers, Employees, and the General Public
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Procedures
  • Collect and Analyze Data to Identify Safety and Health Hazards
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies
  • Manage Training and Development Strategies
  • Oversee the Preparation of Reports
  • Respond to Employee Questions and Complaints
  • Liaise with Management, Union Officials, and HR Consultants
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Health and Safety
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • WHMIS Certificate
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
