Position Summary:

The Automotive Parts Support Specialist plays a crucial role in a dynamic automotive service environment, assisting Licensed Automotive Technicians in identifying and supplying the appropriate components for vehicle repairs within the Automotive Service Centre. This position requires proficiency in utilizing computerized automotive parts lookup systems to manage repair estimates, order processing, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address and resolve inquiries from both internal and external customers promptly.
  • Enhance the customer experience by efficiently sourcing and supplying the necessary vehicle parts as requested by customers and Licensed Automotive Technicians.
  • Assist Licensed Automotive Technicians by fulfilling their parts and tire requests.
  • Communicate with Automotive Service Centre personnel regarding all incoming parts and tire orders.
  • Procure automotive parts, shop supplies, and products from authorized vendors.
  • Provide accurate quotes for parts and tire availability and pricing.
  • Maintain precise inventory records, including specialty tools used in the shop.
  • Conduct battery testing and filling, as well as testing starters and alternators, following established training protocols.
  • Collaborate with Automotive Service Centre staff to ensure accurate and professional formatting of estimates.
  • Organize and stock shelves in storage and display areas.
  • Handle returns, warranties, and casting processes as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and interest in automotive subjects.
  • Basic mathematical and typing skills.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts lookup systems.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an automotive service environment is advantageous.
  • Certification in the transportation of dangerous goods is a plus.
  • Ability to provide professional customer service and build trust with clients.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to completing tasks accurately and responsibly.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Team player who supports colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
